Curriculum

thumb imageOur Infant Care Center is designed for age 6 weeks to 11 months. Each caregiver has been trained to work with this age group and provide immediate attention to your baby’s needs. Many special moments of cuddling, rocking, singing, playing and laughing help your baby feel secure, loved and trusting of the big world around him. Teachers provide your baby with appropriate stimulation, using books, pictures, music, finger plays and lots of language.

Our Toddlers, ages 12-18 months and 18-24 months, also enjoy the care of specially trained staff who work to provide a safe, interesting inter-active environment for the “upwardly mobile” (walking) explorer. Safe riding, climbing, pushing, and crawl-through equipment help to develop muscle and motor-coordination skills. The teacher’s positive communication and direction help to foster independence and self-esteem as your child begins to want to do things for himself. Of course, there are still those special times of cuddling, rocking, singing, hugging and playing that are just as much fun for the teacher as the child. Mother Goose Time Curriculum is used for these age groups. You may view more about this curriculum online at www.mothergoosetime.com

Our two-year and three-year-old classes are also challenged with Mother Goose Time curriculum that incorporates learning through play. Basic introduction to letters and sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, sizes, opposites, nursery rhymes, songs, role-playing, manipulative, table toys, and much more keep this inquisitive youngster busy, busy, busy. Lots of communication, focusing on helping and loving one another, helps to begin the process necessary for the development of good social skills.
